   ocr: The southern <ingdom of Judah was able to endure longer than the northern Kingdom of srael due to a greater degree of godliness among its leaders. While the northern Kingdom did not have one single good king, the southern kingdom had the good rortune to be led, at least at times, by spiritual men such as Jenoshaphat, Hezekiah, Asa, and Josiah. The godliness of these kings, combined with the assistance of prophets such as saiah, was enough to ward off the juagment of God on Judah for almost 150 years.
